A Quick Summary
We are delighted to welcome you to the inaugural Moonlight Tango Winter Festival (MTWF) in Brisbane. We have curated a weekend full of social dancing (20hrs!!) and tango lessons for all levels.
We have chosen the stunningly beautiful Ithaca Auditorium in Brisbane City Hall as the venue for all the milongas. There will be live music at two of the milongas (Gala and After Party) with DJ music from Jose, Anthony and Wendy. Gourmet refreshments and cash bar will also be available at the evening milongas. Dietary requirements are being catered for.
On the Friday evening and the Sunday afternoon there will be vendors in the foyer area selling tango shoes, tango clothes and other speciality wares.
Excitingly, we have the Consul General of Argentina opening the Festival at the Welcome Milonga on the Friday evening. We will have special guests from our charity Parkinson’s Queensland in attendance.

Moonlight Tango is proud to be supporting Parkinson's QLD as our charity and in partnership with Parkinson's QLD and Rina Sawaya we are offering a free Tango for Parkinson's class for people with PD. Rina has kindly donated her time and expertise to run this class which has not only been designed by Rina but used in various research studies.
Joe Kelly MP Deputy Speaker of the House and convenor of the Parliamentary Friends of Latin America has supported this class by providing a hall at the Coorparoo School of Arts for this class. Parkinson's QLD CEO Miguel Diaz has been instrumental in organising this free class.
Housekeeping
We have worked hard to ensure the tango lessons are all balanced between followers and leaders. All those who booked classes and workshops with a dance partner may choose to do the lessons together or join the pool of dancers swapping around. Those who have booked without a dance partner will be in the pool of balanced followers and leaders and will swap around during the class. All teachers are expert at managing this situation and except for unforeseen circumstances all class will be balanced.
Please arrive at EC Venue 10 mins before your class/workshop to check in and warm up.
At the workshops and classes please bring your own water bottle. There are places to purchase lunch nearby.
All events will take place based on Queensland Government policies.
Get up and dance! Remember this is a dance festival and we have worked hard to ensure the balance is almost 50/50 between leaders and followers.
Photographs and videos will be taken during the festival by professional photographers. By joining our events you agree for your image to be reproduced for marketing purposes as part of MT's promotional materials and on MT's web channels (e.g. website, Instagram, etc.).
Your tickets are assigned to you and can not be subdivided, split or sold without the explicit permission of Moonlight Tango.
