All workshops will be held in the large dance studio at Elements Collective Venue (ECV) on 17 McLachlan St, Fortitude Valley QLD 4006. The studio is equipped with mirrors, air-conditioning and professional speakers system, it has access to water and bathrooms. The workshops will be capped to 50 people (25 couples) and need to be booked in pairs (leader/follower) to guarantee everyone can have space to learn. Please arrive at least 15 min in advance to all workshops. Tickets to workshops will NOT be sold at the door.

Vals - "The Art of Flowing Turns"
In this session we work on fluid execution of figures for the circular flow. We will work on topics such as circularity using a flexible embrace, and explore ideas around elasticity in the movements. Understanding how to recognise rhythmic and melodic phrases in the music can help us dance vals with more elegance and creativity.

Tango - "Progressive Giro Combinations"
A two hour intensive on progressive giros with focus on the dynamic embrace, giro combinations and the active role of the follower. Includes improved technique to execute the free leg with a stable standing leg for rulos. lapiz, and aguja for leaders and embellishments for followers.
