Parkinson's QLD | Moonlight Tango

Moonlight Tango Inc., as a not-for-profit association, proudly supports local charities. We have specifically selected to help promote and fundraise for Tango for Parkinson's due to the known health benefits of dancing for Parkinson's disease. Additionally, we will be donating proceeds from Moonlight Tango Festival to Parkinson's QLD and organise Tango for Parkinson lessons together with Rina Sawaya (Tango Esencia).

Tango for Parkinson's

Rina Sawaya of Tango Escenia

Rina has been involved in research investigating the health benefits of dance for Parkinson's Disease through a collaboration in 2013 with Latrobe University, Limerick University and St. John of God Hospital in Venice.

Tango Lessons

As part of the Moonlight Tango Winter Festival we will feature Tango for Parkinson's lessons to help the community and promote the health benefits of dancing.
